  1. u can b a ballerina..jus put on a little confident in urself.try ur very best.don give up easily.if u can coop in te dance, ten go on dude. U CAN SUCCEED N DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Sure!

try a mixed class if u dont want private lessons though,

so like choose a class from like 13-18 yr olds..

Just make sure you're in top shape too! It may not seem like it hurts or takes much strength but it sure does:)

Try and learn some of the theory too!

(if you didnt know its all french)

    Plies - To bend

    Demi - half

    Ouverte - open

    Bras bas - Arms down

    Couronne - To crown

Degage - To point your foot to an open position

Fondu - to sink or melt

    Releve - To rise

    Devant - Front

    Derriere - Back

    Frappe - To strike

    Detournne - To turn

    Pirouette - To whirl

    They;re just a few basics!

    Good luck by the way

  3. yes, of course! Why not?

    GOOD LUCK! and HAPPY DANCING!

  4. no not really, if you have never done ballet before than proberably not, i have done ballet since i was 4 and now i am 14. You need all those years to work up strength, flexibility and TECHNIQUE. At 18 you should be fantastic if u have started at 3 or 4. so you wont be fantastic because you no nothing and it will be very hard.

    Goodluck

  5. if you just want to learn, get fit and have fun, go for it.  anyone can learn if they put their hearts into it.

but to be good, it would depend.  ballet emphasizes the turnout of the foot, a good, pointed toe, strength, and flexibility. you may not be able to do some things as well as others, but you should try and work hard.  you just might catch on quickly if you are REALLY talented, and especially if you have done other forms of dance or strength and stretching classes.

  6. if you take some private lessons you can surely achieve something. a friend of mine is 24 almost 25 and is in the same ballet class as me (I'm 16) and she is doing great.

If you want it, try it:p You've got nothing to lose!

  7. yeah you should be able to do some classes but the best time for you to have started would have been at 3 years old

  8. you can be a dancer at any age... as long as you are willing to get fit and have fun with it.....i have been dancing for 13yrs and i didnt start ballet until i was 12 which was 3yrs ago. and it was a little hard to actualy get used to goin in plie and stuff like tht but u get used to it. if u play any sports it helps alot no matter what age. like i play volleyball adn it helps alot. Also it helps with posture

  9. Go for it!  I have been dancing for many years now, and I know what it's like to be in a ballet room.  Ballet is very challenging physically, emotionally, and mentally.  Teachers, and procedures can be very strict.  If it is something you are interested in, do it!  You may want to try visiting the studio you are thinking about attending, and watch a couple of classes of the style of dance you want to take.  That way, you know if that is something you really want to do.  Becoming a professional is almost impossible if you start Ballet at 18 years old. (Unless you were born a Margo Fonteyn.  Laughs.)  But, why not take classes?  Ballet will teach you many things you need to know about life, posture, and your body, that you never would have learned without Ballet.  Just remember, you may feel awkward at first, and like you can not do it.  Trust me when i say this, I know how you feel.  But don't ever give up on yourself!  Everything gets more natural, and comfortable with time.  I know you can do it!  GOOD LUCK!!

    Love,

    Olivia.

  10. yes....z....

  11. Anyone can be a ballerina! I was 4 when I started. I wasn't very good so now I just do dance! It is really hard and I won't lie but if you feel up to the challenge... Go ahead! (the key is to practice and do stretches everyday)

  12. well yes its possible thats if you have any history with dance and if you dont dont worry just take some classes though it will be hard and you will be needing lots of practice to be like a good ballerina but go for it im pretty sure you'll be fine.

  13. With ballet it is definitely easier when you start young, but with my dance class i've seen some girls pickup skills in a year that it took the rest of us three years when we were little. You should definitely try, otherwise you will regret it.

  14. Yes. Will you be good? Maybe, maybe not... Find out!

  15. well... you probably could... but it's generally best for most kinds of dancing - ballet especially - to start young. I'm not saying that you can't do it, but you will most likely have to be in a class with little kids and your body will have developed without the proper training so you will find it quite hard. But you could certainly TRY it!
