  1. You're 18, buy a car.

  2. Maybe they can't afford a car?!

  3. lol, um.... go drive your friends car until you can save up or convince your parents you NEED one!!!

    good luck.

  4. Save up get it on your own... they PROBABLY don't trust you and think ull go have s*x with random guys.. earn the trust.

  5. Give your parents time to develop the confidence that you already have.

    Here's how:

    1)  When you and your parents are going to the church or to the grocery store or to a destination within the neighborhood, ask them to let you drive.

    2)  If given the permission, show that you are a "learned" driver, check out the lamps - headlights, park lights, signalling lights.  Adjust the rearview mirror.  Even under the hood, like the oil level, water level, etc.

    3)  Start the engine, listen to it for a while if everything sounds OK, then move out of the garage and into the streets using the proper signals.

    4)  Drive within the speed limits.  Dont try the expressway yet.

    5)  Stop or slow down at intersections.  Show your parents that you know the traffic rules and can read the traffic signs.

    6)  At the destination, park properly and expertly.

Do this a few times, and your parents will let you drive alone.

To show that you can take care of the car and yourself, volunteer to wash and clean the car a few times.  And demonstrate that you can change the tires, too.

  6. You're 18, which makes you an adult. But if you live under their roof, you need to respect their rules, no matter how old you are. Moving out is an option, but it's very expensive to live on your own and pay your own bills, rent, utilities, food, car payment, insurance, gas, etc.

  7. Cars are super expensive. There's the cost of purchasing one, gas, insurance, maintenance... Can you afford all of that on your own? There can be hidden costs too. Don't move out over a car...

It is kinda weird that they wont let you drive though. Talk to them about it.

  8. if u really necessary for u to driver then u have to. Otherwise, don't....

  9. You seem to be in the same trouble as me. But I decided to pay for my own car...I've been saving since I was 15 and have netted 27 Grand. Just from working during summer and part time during school. You could always by a cheap car for 3,000 to 10,000...If your willing to swallow your pride as you're driving down the block...
