  1. Never too late... I just taught a seventy (well 67) year old man to roll a  kayak.. and he had a success full combat roll in class three whitewater!!

    Go For It and enjoy.

  2. its not too late but its easier to learn when ur younger

  3. well you are not going to star in swan lake anytime soon, but its never too late. Honestly, I think it depends on your reasons for doing it, if you want to join the new york ballet, then you might to re-adjust your goal, but if you are just doing it cause you want to learn, then the skys the limit.

I started hockey as an adult, and while I will never be as good as the people who've been on the ice since they could walk I really enjoy it.

i am not familiar with ballet but I remember a 40 year old college prof of mine taking up ballet and eventually doing point.

    so enjoy and good luck

  4. David S said it very well.

I am 31, started ballet this past year and my teacher told me last week I can start pointe in Sept :-)  I'm not trying to be a professional dancer or anything but I LOVE ballet and I LOVE to dance.

    This makes me happy!

  5. If you are just doing this for fun or personal development, then it's never too late! Go and have a good time, and if you are in good physical condition, it should be all right. Ballet is quite strenuous and point can be painful (yes, I have had bleeding toes). Realistically, it might be a little harder to develop your skill to a professional level at your age however, but not impossible, particularly if you have other dance experience. Good luck!
