  1. it could be that the baby is turned towards your back and you do not recognize the movements. I had the same situation with my daughter.  I drank several glasses of OJ and laid there and tried to do kick counts for several hours and got nothing. I freaked and called the doctor. they sent me to the hospital to be monitored, then they did an US complete with "buzzing" the baby to wake her up. Basically I was told that she was having a tired day and that she was facing backwards. the little booger ended up being breech too. She will be 9 in february.

my youngest son faced my back for a while too. his kicks felt like little gas bubbles breaking near my tailbone.

if you are really stressing about this, give your doc a call. Most will have you come into the office for an US or to be monitored for an hour or so, just to be sure.

  2. this is normal you will start to feel more movement soon dont panic too much when your on the move you dont realy feel it when your relaxed

  3. hi dear im also 21 weeks pregnant and im felling the same im going to see my midwife soon, and last week he was very acctive but now he doesn't move that much only when lying on my side also.

i advice u to go to the doctors or see the midwife

i just looked in my pregnancy record book and it says ''if after 24weeks u dnt feel ur baby moving or the patter has changed please contact ur midwife immediately'' but its better just to be sure check it out.

    congratulations and good luck.

  4. I think its pretty normal, Im 23 wks pregnant and mine doesnt really move unless I lie down, it is probably moving just you can't feel it when your busy doing stuff. I had my scan last week and everything was fine so Im sure its nothing to worry about. good luck xx

  5. I would say your baby just isnt all that active which is good on your behalf, but if you have spoke to your doc about this and he/she has no worries then I wouldnt worry, but if you havent spoken to your doc. then I would because that is something you would be worried about! Hope this helps and congrats! you can also check out these sites

  6. It's completely normal! My baby did the same! Just talk to you doctor to make sure your little one  is doing fine!

  7. Mine was the same way.  When I got my ultrasound at 22 weeks, the baby was moving all over the place and I wasn't feeling any of the movements.  (S)he still has plenty of room to move about so you may not be feeling a lot of the movements.  I'm now 28 weeks and feel everything.  My little boy keeps me up at night he moves around so much.  Just give it a few more weeks and you'll be feeling a lot more.

EDIT: According to "What to Expect..." you don't need to worry about kick counts until 28 weeks.

  8. If you have any doubts at all speak to your Doctor. This is too important to ask people on here who don't know your medical history.

  9. Hi yep thats normal, I could feel my baby properly at around 17 weeks but some days he was more active than others, at 20 weeks I could feel him alot stronger but I never got a full blown kick you could see till I was 24 weeks, and still somedays he was quieter than others. I am now 39 weeks and can feel everything he does in there and its great, its just waiting for it to happen, I always thought it happened earlier on in pregnancy rather than later on, but you just have to be patient. lol

Congratulations and all the best !

  10. it should be moving while ur standing too, it may be ur baby sleeps in the day and is active at night while ur asleep so thats why u dont feel it.

the docs say that in the day if u dont feel it move 10 times lay down very still and wait for it to move.

are u keeping a moving chart, record the times of day it moves and for how long and then as long as its a minimum of ten times its ok

  11. You should be fine, sometimes at this stage you feel your baby once in a while, as your baby gets bigger you will feel him more often and regularly. Don't worry

  12. yep was 4 me anyways didnt really start feeling movements everyday until i was around 27/28 weeks. but go get it checked if ur stressing thats wat midwife there 4. . . gd luck x

  13. Yep, talk to your doc, but as long as you feel the baby move some, that means he/she's alive.  If this is your first pregnancy, I think it takes longer to feel the baby be so active.  21 weeks is still early, if by 23-25 weeks you don't feel him every few hours, then tell you doc for sure.  I'm sure you're fine though, i remember flipping out about your same question when I was pregnant haha!

  14. its pretty normal, I did worried about that when I was pregnant baby didn't move as much it did when heavily pregnant, I would say around 30 and more baby moves alot and even hiccups!! I remember when i was about 35 weeks pregnant with second daughter she was moving alot and kicking! bless..

BUT if you worried about it, best way to pay a visit to doc for safe side
