  1. Get a CBC.

  2. Go see a Doctor. If you do have diabetes ( I hope not) the earlier you get treatment the less severe it may become. If it is something else you need to address it pronto. Make sure you know your family history on diseases as it may have something to do with your issues.

    Again don't wait.

  3. Wow. 43 is VERY low. Normal blood sugar is 70 - 110.  I'm surprised you are still functioning with a BS that low. Defantily eat something. Carry sugar cubes with you and when you're feeling tired or like you're about to pass out eat some. Did you check you're BS yourself or did a Dr. do it?  If you checked it yourself see a dr asap.

    EDIT:

I'll give you some more info. Low blood sugar is also called hypoglycemia, which is associated with diabetes. Look at this link for more info. It'll give you signs & symptoms. And info to ask your Dr. about.

  4. Here's the thing - are you sure you tested yourself correctly? The reason I ask is that "lazy and tired" really does not describe what a low blood sugar feels like. If anything, that's what high blood sugars feel like.  A genuine 43 on a meter would have you sweating, shaky, dizzy, emotional, possibly belligerent and irrational.  You would feel like you were in crisis mode, not just kind of tired or lazy.

I would go to a doctor and talk to him/her about your overall health, and let them do a blood test.  Definitely, the only people who can diagnose you with a condition like diabetes are health professionals, not the internet.  But if you are feeling a lot like I described above, make sure you keep eating, and try to even out your sugars day-to-day by eating smaller meals more frequently.  Eat protein with every meal or snack, and make your carbohydrates complex ones like whole grains or fruits that have fiber.

  5. My grandmother's blood sugar is sometimes low and she feels tired also. & She has sugar diabeties. When her blood sugar is low she is supposed to eat something sweet (ex: a piece of candy, ice cream).
