Im 23 and having hot flashes! can you tell me why?

I'm also freaking out because my period was only 2 days long. I took a pregnancy test and I'm not pregnant. any ideas on whats going on with me? thanks for your help

when's the last time you saw your doctor? i could be a thyroid disorder.

it's best to go see a doctor and have test done.

The only thing I know of to cause hot flashes is hormones - due to pregnancy or menopause. And, you are obviously too young for menopause. I would wait about a week or two and take another pregnancy test because, it may be too early to tell. or you could go to the doctor. He could do a blood test (for early pregnancy detection) and if it's negative maybe he could help you figure out why your having them. Good Luck!

Go have blood tests to see yours estrogen and progesterone levels.  Decreased estogen leads to hot flashes, a sign of menopause.

Thyroid issues can be the cause too.
