I m 25yr indian male, going to australia on student visa,i do not hav car driving licence, only hav motor cycle licence. can i got car driving licence in australia n how long will be the process?

If you don't have a current licence from your own country you will have to meet all of the Australian requirements - which are very probably more stringent than in India.

Requirements vary from State to State, so if you are heading to Sydney, check the NSW regulations etc.

As you don't already have a car licence, you will have to meet all of the normal licence requirements which vary from state to state. Below is a link to a PDF detailing the requirements for a Queensland licence:

The requirements for learner drivers aged 25 or over are less stringent than for younger drivers, but at the least, you will need to pass an initial test on road rules to get a Learner's Licence, then pass a full written road rules test and pass a practical driving test. You would then be issued with a P2 (probationary) licence for 1 year, followed by an Open licence after that time.

you have to learn car driving first. first join a private.govt driving classes , learn how to drive IN australia and then apply for the lic. driving in Indian and in Australia are different ball game altogether. If one drives like the way in India, one would NEVER get a license in australia. So, please learn driving at a local diriving school in australia ad get the licence . it should take anything from 8 to 10 weeks.

for the driving license in australia you need to have 4 year old driving license. it should be with M.car. if you can get it you have to get a license verification with you and then re confirm with indian consulate. after that you have to clear two computer tests and one driving test, after this you can get australian license.

or esle if you can't get the license from india you have to go for about 5 year license process in austrlia to get full license.

you can drive car on indian license also but can drive a taxi on it. for taxi there are even more tests to get a license.
