  1. You need to go to a GYN and have a complete check-up. It should be a yearly exam. With woman's health making such a big statement right now I would think you as a female would be more pro active. We have to advocate for ourselves. Please make yourself an appointment. You feel great when you get a clean bill of health.

  2. It's something you need to do on a regular basis. I would suggest making an appointment, whether something is wrong or not. Just for a check up

  3. I had my first gyn appointment when I was 18 so that I could get on birth-control (I had a boyfriend, my first boyfriend, and now my fiancee, & my whole family wanted me to get on b/c even tho we were abstinent)

I know of a lot of females who are 30 and haven't gone. But I would suggest going. You'll have a regular check up and a pap smear most likely. Pap smears are nothing to worry about. If you can feel your cervix and not experience a ton of pain, then you can have a pap smear and it not hurt either. I wish you the best of luck!!

  4. Most women go about once a yr. for a pap smear and a check up. I believe you should go just to make sure everything is alright down there especially if you are sexually active.

  5. You need to have a pap smear done annually once you become sexually active or when you turn 18, whichever comes first.

You don't need to see a gyno for this, a general practitioner is fully capable of doing a pap smear for you.  You only need to see a specialist if something is wrong (I have always seen generals for mine.  I only had to see a gyno when irregularities were found on one of my annual smears).

Call your doctor's office and make an appointment for a pap smear.  It is really important that you get them done every year.

  6. You should be having pap smears every 2 years (Australian Guideline) and checking your b*****s after your period each month.
