  1. your hips are getting wider. this is normal.

and i get "charlie horses" or leg cramps all the time!! especially when i am asleep and then try and stretch.. that is normal too!

however, if you experience A LOT of pain, and I mean A LOT, A LOT like it is unbearable, I would call or go see your doctor right away!

  2. Although I haven't been pregnant yet (thank heaven- I'm only 17), I have experienced some of the worst leg cramps ever. My mom tells me that this is because of a Calcium deficiency in my body. Your bones may not receive enough calcium for normal function since the baby is taking most of it for their own growth as the pregnancy progresses. I would suggest talking to your doctor about these cramps and how much calcium you need to take. Drinking milk and eating dairy products may not be enough. You might need to take Calcium supplements daily in order to stay healthy.

Please talk to your doctor first before taking anything.

    Best of Luck!

  3. sorry to say yeah this is normal the hip pain will be the way the baby is lying and cramps is common in pregnancy stand on a cold floor when the cramp starts and rub your leg.

  4. yep. My doctor says the hip pain is caused from all the extra pressure, and your ligaments relaxing and loosening. And the leg cramps are totally normal as well. Your legs are carrying some extra weight so of course the will cramp. Just try to do some calve stretches at night before you go to sleep this helped mine alot. I would wake up crying from really bad charlie horses at night.

  5. Is this your first pregnancy?

I had horrible hip pain with my first child and leg cramps with my second.

The hip pain by far was the worst because my pelvis was spreading apart. I couldn't get off the couch without just rolling off of it onto the floor.

If it gets too bad then call the OB. Just ask to speak to one of the nurses and they'll either answer right then or call your back soon.

  6. yes,its very normal, your potassium levels are probably low, resulting in "charlie horses" try eating bannanas and other things rich in potassium,it will help the cramps, and when you get them, strech your toes up.that will help aswell.

    good luck

    shay.
