Question:

Im 28 years old right now so is it too late to enlist in the military?

I know there is an ideal recruiting age that I am passed. would the military want someone my age to enlist?

  2. No; I went to boot camp with people your age. My cousin joined the army at 32; if you are in good shape, u'll do fine. Actually you'll probably do better than the younger ones. Older people generally tend to handle boot camp - and the general military - far better than the 18 year olds.

    Just make sure you are in good shape.

  4. i'm your age and i'm submitting my ocs package... my cousin joined when he was 32 and one of my best friends just joined at 30.

    from friend he said he was one of the older guys but probably 1/4 of the class was mid 20's or beyond. so you fit right in mate.

  5. Assuming you suffer from no physical ailments, I'm sure they'd gladly take you in.

  6. No, for a lot of jobs its like 40 or so before cut off for age. The only bad part is you will be taking orders from SSG who are only like 22 or 23. When my husband enlisted there was a guy who was 38 and is now an Infantryman. Good luck and God bless you for wanting to serve your country.
