Im 36, do you think Its stupid of me,?

To be going to college(community college) will I be the oldest person there?

It's never too late for education especially if the returns are there. If you research your new field and see that the financial returns will be there afterwards; if you can afford to take the risk, financially and personally; then, I think the  best thing to do is do it. Never let age be an influencer - either way you are going to turn 40 - whether you go to school or not.

Consider: how old will you be in 6 years?  Do you want to be a 42 year old with a college degree or without one?

that's about how old I was the last lime I was at a Community College and many of my classes had people twice my age

Senior citizens go back to school.  Age should not interfere with education.  US is the only country that you can go back to studying without having people look at you funny.  Go for it!

When I was doing community college courses, I was taking the night classes and most of the people were in my classes were at least 50.  There is nothing stupid about starting or going back to school.

It is never stupid to get more education.

Being older has it's advantages too.

When you understand what it is like to have a job and responsibilities you are a better student and your grades will reflect that.

I doubt at 36 you will be the oldest there.

It is not stupid at all. I actually started about 36 years old. I need 1 or 2 more classes for my associates then I will move on. It is a good feeling no matter what age you are. When you are done you will feel you did it for you and you have accomplish something. Go for it and dont ever let anyone say you cant do it or you are too old to do it.

Not at all! More and more people are pursuing education at an older age - especially at community colleges where hours and classes are more flexible than other Universities - you will surely not be alone and will not, by any means, be the oldest! Enjoy your courses!
