Im 39 weeks and have a question about the mucus plug?

With my 1st pregnancy I was induced. I didn't lose my plug or anything so im not sure what to expect. I had alot of discharge this morning. It was alot thicker than normal, but there wasn't any blood. I've heard that you should expect to see blood or a brownish tint, but it was just a whitish clear color. Could this be some of the mucus plug or just discharge? The doctor told me on monday that im between 1 and 2 centimeters. But I haven't had contraction and my water has not broke yet either.

Your mucus plug should be yellowish or whitish and i looks cheesy in some kind of way. For mine, I didn't see any blood. It was some mucus and then the next day I went into labor and the mucus increased... same color though but with tints of blood in it.

But if you're concern, contact your doctor.

All I know for sure is that they purposely broke my mucus plug so that I would go in to labor earlier.  They broke it during the day and my water broke about 8pm that night.  So keep a watch for your water to break!

im 36 wk 4days and i havent lost mine yet.

although with my 1st i lost it and honestly mine looked like clear jelly like snot with no blood or tint at all. you might just want to run it by your doctor she will be able to tell you if thats it or not. and some people never lose theirs
