  1. Ofcouse ya can!!!! i used to have a friend in his 30's, he was about 5ft, and really slim, but he went about on an 1100cc......and i see alot more females on biig bikes...You'll be, and look fine!

And the size you want is ok I feel, and it seems others do too!

    Alll thumbs up!enjoy!x

  2. oh yeah. even easier if you get some lowering links.

  3. Yeah i agree with masha1. I have a NSR and the seat hight is a lot lower than other bikes. Same with the RGV's.There's also the Honda CBR250rr if you don't like 2smokes.

If your heart is set on the 600 then go sit on one at a dealers.

  4. I'm about your height.  I used to ride sports bike (700 cc) and it was difficult.  I would often drop it (just coming to a stop).

600 class bikes seat height is about 31 inches (or more).  You would have to get the bike lowered.

Eventually I settled on Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD.  The seat height is just 25 inches and it is very low and easy to ride.

    Good Luck...

  5. Why don't you try a 250cc twostroker like an RGV250 or TZR250 or NSR250. I guess you'd be a lightweight so it would go real well with you on.   Alternately wait for the MV Augusta (Cagiva Mito) single cylinder to be made or maybe Aprillia will get its' act together and put one of those RXV550 motors in their RS125/250 chassis.  That's a bike I'd trade my CBR1000RR in to buy......Good luck and enjoy the ride whatever you get!!!!

  6. I have a friend who is 5 foot tall (short?) and he has a Moto Guzzi 850 Mk11 that he can touch the ground with both feet when sitting on it. It's an Italian sportbike and goes like stink.

  7. Yeah. I've seen people shorter than you ride the 1000. You'll be fine. Just get plenty of practice.

  8. Hi there my brother was only 4'11" and he rode a Ducati 860 GTS for years!(yeah it's a real old bike 1997 model and the seat height was around 820mm if I remember rightly) .

When he pulled up he would often just have a toe on the ground (foot brake side) and if there was a gutter or rise (concrete) he would pull up to it and place his foot on it and then drive off as usual. If he was ever pulled over by Police he would usually lean on the cars roof and stay on the bike and talk to the Police while he was still on the bike! He believed they were public servants and their cars belonged to the public and as he was a member of the public he could do this. The Police sometimes challenged him about his height  and the reach to the ground but he would let them know that he was capable as he had ridden for years and miles! They usually could n't argue.

He was an expert at balancing and would often try to out do his time limit for stationary balance. He got real real good at it! Why because of practice! And he got into racing so the short answer is yes you can ride as I think your extra 2" taller gives you a better advantage and if you suss out most good riders (not one's who think they are good) you will find usually they are around 5' tall.

Sports bikes today have a lower ride height and you can buy lowering rods etc so I would go for it.

The best idea I can offer you is to go to the bike shop and sit on any bike you think you like and see how you fit then when you have chosen a bike or two take em for a ride and see how they feel for you style of riding.

Happy riding can I offer you some riding advice from an old f**t who still rides daily.

Try to educate everyone who uses the road about motorcycles and rider awareness

Remember cagers don't care if it's their mother, daughter, sister, father, son, brother, on the bilke, so treat all other road users as idiots and keep your distance from them!

Never take risks always take opportunities!

Ride to Live and Live to Ride

Happy riding try and keep it shiny side up

  9. i'm 5'4'' and fit flat footed on my bike, it has a seat height of 33''

you can use that as a refrence....

bikes can be lowered, that's not a problem... just takes some money and wrenching.
