  1. 14 to 18 ounce gloves if you are using them for sparring with friends. Running less of a risk for any serious injury with heavier gloves. Plus get headgear and mouthguards.

  2. I would go with a 16oz boxing glove because that is what most trainees use

  3. I'm running the risk of sounding like a smart-a** but, the size that fit your hands well.  The same sizes will vary from brand to brand just like other clothing.  You have to try them on.  Don't order gloves online unless you've ordered the same ones before.

  4. Boxing gloves size?  Boxing gloves are not sized according to your height and weight.  Rather, they are produced via their absolute weight (e.g. 6 oz., 8 oz., 12 oz., etc.).  The lighter the weight, the "smaller" the gloves.  Heavier gloves are typically used during training to fatigue fighters more and develop muscles associated with punching.

  5. everyone that answered doesnt know jack **** about boxing or why there are different ounces in gloves.

a different ounce glove gives different protection and size, the inside of a glove can fit any hand, the outside is the different size. i say get 14 for training/bag work, and 16 for sparring.

If your a heavy puncher, 16 training, 18 sparring.

I use 12 ounce for training and 14 for sparring (im flyweight).

    get 180" wraps. (best wraps)

  6. That will depend on the size of your hands !!!!!!!!!!
