Im Getting As Big As A House! How Can I Stop It?

I was always a skinny kid, even through my twenties. I started getting a little bigger at 35 when I fathered my first kid, but since my separation and new life Im growing HUGE!

I really dont eat a whole lot, no more than I used to I dont think and I dont keep cookies, cake, chips etc around. I eat a lot of ramen and drink more beer.

My pants keep getting tighter.

What is happening to me and how can I stop this?

  1. how big are u? what is your weight? and how tall?


  2. Hard as it may be, stop drinking beer. It goes right to your stomach (hence the term beer belly.) Beer is just as bad if not worse than sodas and chips.

    Also, the ramen isn't super healthy. Try having a salad with minimal dressing with dinner, and go for walks or start another form of exercise.

  3. 1) try keeping a food diary. Write down everything you eat. This really helps you keep track of what you should cut back on or increase in your diet.

    2) try weight watchers for men. It really works if you stick to it.

    3) cut out fast food and just food and work out. Even 30 minutes on the elliptical machine 3 times a week will help.

    4) of course, seek assistance and/or advice from a nutritionist or doctor before you start any serious diet

  4. Once you reach your mid 30's something seems to kick in and staying in shape isn't effortless like it was.

    Do a regular aerobic excercise like jogging or walking. Make it something you like doing though or it won't last.

    I personally think regular excercising to match your eating is better than cutting your food/drink to match a lack of excercise...

    if you drink beer, STOP! not only is it high in calories but it retain water as well. when eating food, pick low BAD cholestrol foods. and make sure you drinks LOTS ans LOTS of water to flush the bad out of you. to lose weight, starving yourself is by far the wrost thing you can do because the moment you stop fasting, the weight comes on like a meteor.plus, DO NOT hydroxycut or ephedrine! if you must use a drug (tho not very recommonded in my eyes) use relacore. drugs like hydroxycut will make you retain fat in the long run (trust me i did a science fair project on it.)

    sure using the "ab hip hop dance" new weight loss craze instruction video will help you lose weight, but the best thing for your body is running. it works everything; including your stomach area. to be honest, your better off running for ten minutes a day rather than doing 30 minutes of dance videos. the truth hurts, but the best thing to do is work out. the more you use your body, the more calories you burn. BE HAPPY! stress and being depressed can bring you down and retain fat.

    also get lots of quality sleep.

    even though you may not have been fat, some families have a history of becoming fat well into their middle age years. my family tends to be rather muscular and around the age of 70 began to gain excessive weight.
