  1. Don't worry,

You'll have a wonderful time.  Spain is a modern European country and as safe as, or probably even safer than, the US.  By the way, Galicia is a region of Spain - not a small town, and it's very beautiful.

  2. Dont be nervous. When your on the plane just do some deep breathing.  Going to a different country can be fun.  Also you got your friend with you he/she has probably been plenty of times.  Just stick with him/her.  Have fun!

  3. Hi,

You will love Spain, especially seeing people running away from Bulls in the streets! Just joking, its a great place, I  love going there, Sanish people are normal law abiding people who love to have three and four hours siestas in the middle of the afternoon to sleep! The sun shines a lot and if  you are by the coast  you will find it easy going and calm.

Enjoy Spain that is all I have to say to you. It should be a memory to last a lifetime as any first overseas trip will be.

My first trip overseas  was actually to your "good ole USA" nearly 30 years ago  as a teenager and that memory lives on and on, I had a very good time.
