Okay first of all, i really dont trust online games on computer. last year one of my friends tried a life wasting game called runescape. ive heard of other like world of warfare, basically with these games they will never end, and youll want to keep playing and waste your life. stick with fun addicting games like fishy, bloons, and other flash games that give a good challenge but at the same time are fun to play :P     just please dont join an online game. stick with fun flash games.

Try some shooting games like..

Delta Force Black Hawk Down, Unreal Tournament for shooting.

Empire Earth I or II or III, Rise of Nations: Rise of legends for conquering nations and declaring wars.

Call of duty 4 is awesome, Crysis is even better (but you will need an amazing computer to play crysis and a fairly decent one to play cod)  if shooters aren't your thing or you don't have a good enough computer i suggest getting command and conquer 3 tiberium wars it is a great rts game!  Call of duty 2 would be good too.
