Witch one is better a PS3 or a stand alone sony Blu-Ray Player? I need to know

I would go with the Blu-Ray as it's the new official standard

Most of the time I go to this site as they present stuff locally so it's easy to visit local shops from there

And you may get more personnalized service from a store in your area

Get a PS3

You have to watch out when buying a BluRay stand alone player as the new one (2.0) are not out yet and the older ones (1.0& 1.1)will need to be up dated (firmware) to get everything that is on a bluray disk.

For the price and what you get - a player and a video game console.  You will be sure to get firmware updates as they come, this will allow you to access new contents as they become available
