  1. You will find out the people in Germany are very polite, well mannered and friendly. Most speak some english as it is taught in school. Its a homogeneous society, very orderly and pleasant. Quality is everywhere, in the food, the cars, the roads, the trains (except some suburban trains in Berlin).  Learn a few phrases like guten morgen ( good morning) danke (thank you) bitte (please) Auf Wiedersehen (goodbye, the literal translation is see you again).  Just be yourself and you will be fine.

  2. No need to be nervous. I guess your father is a soldier and he is stationed to Germany. There are a lot of childs in U.S. schools and it is no need to worry. Even if your father is not related to military, and to have to attend a regular German class, you can be sure that you will be recognized as "something special" and will be easily be able to make friendship with German guys and girls. Enjoy your time in Germany!

  3. I'm doing the same thing, i dont know anyone, i have nowhere to live, and no job... but im still going

  4. Mg girl how did you decide to go there when you dint know anyone ? I hope you know the language at least :) But don't worry you will meet someone at the school. this is going to be a new chapter in your life so just treat it as such you know like a new adventure. Changes take awhile so you have to be patient and don't expect to much just be yourself and be open to new experiences and new people. Do not appear lost tho because in every country there are bad people that would take advantage of that. Be confident!

  5. I went to Germany on vacation and got a good impression of the country. It is a really clean country, with luscious corn and wheat fields, and nice scenic views. The architecture is lovely. Lots of tudor style houses, and you can drive 90 miles an hour on the autobahn. This country is not for everyone. To some it may be boring to some it's just right it's a matter of taste.
