I`m Thinking About it........Should I?

Question

I`m thinking about asking my mom, (maybe when I`m a bit older though) to get a nose piercing, I`m not sure should I?

If you ask and she gives you permission, you should earn the money to pay for it yourself because I&#039;m a mom, and as a mom I can tell you that most (including me) moms would never want to willingly pay for their child&#039;s piercings or the defacing of their body.  (I sound like a prude, don&#039;t I?! :-)

well, how old are you?

im 14, and my mom let me get my peirced.

and when i was in grade 6, she let me too. (but it grew over, thats why i got one recently)

she could say no.

if yuo wanna know the pain rate, here it is.

there&#039;s two ways to peirce your nose.

with the gun, or with a clamp and needle.

the first time i got mine done, i got it with a gun. didnt hurt at all, but it makes your eyes water.

then, when i got it done around two weeks ago the guy that did it, did it with a clamp and needle. WHICH HURT LIKE A *****. but its better in the long run, because i guess, the gun ruins the cartlidge in your nose. so yaa :)

depends how old ya are. cuz well once your 18 you can do what you want with piercings n stuff. when you ask her just make sure shes just in a good mood.

The worst she can say is &quot;No&quot;.  I think you should go for it.  Let her know that you&#039;ll do all the research to learn how to keep it clean and free of infections, and that you&#039;ll offer to pay some or all of the piercing costs.

If she agrees, that&#039;s fantastic.  If she declines, at least you tried.  Nothing has changed.

I got my navel pierced when I was 14 (clearly below the legal age) by asking, and asking, and asking, like few days, and telling them how much I wanted it, and about friends who got it done, and pointing out places that did it, and giving them facts about it.. and asking again.etc.

And eventually they gave in after a couple months (and even paid for it.. surprised me with it as a Christmas eve present)..

The same method worked for my first lobes when i was 6, and my second ones at about 12...

I only had to ask once for my tragus at 15 or 16 and they said &quot;thats stupid, I don&#039;t see why you need all these holes&quot; but then they said OK without me asking again.

I didn&#039;t ask for the rest of my piercings because I was 18 :)

So try that, you kind of have to judge their anger level. If they seem to be getting mad, tone down and ask less often, if they seem fine, ask more :) and eventually you&#039;ll get it (unless they&#039;re REALLY against piercing :)

Yeah, maybe when you&#039;re a bit older (assuming you&#039;re too young for that in this moment) maybe she&#039;ll be more receptive to it :-)

Definately.  Talk to your mom about it.  Let her help you make the decision and she can research with you.
