When I am older and have saved up enough money I am planning to adopt three babies from Africa. How does someone go about adopting newborn to one year old child from africa. Any Websites on singles adopting?

Why wouldn't you adopt a Black/African-American child right here in the United States? It makes no sense to want to go to Africa when there are children in need right here in the United States.

um i remember when Britney spears and Paris Hilton started getting those tiny dogs and carrying them in their little purses, it was so cool everyone all the sudden wanted a Lil doggy--

and now I'm wondering if people what third world babies because Angelina adopts them and that is so good of her? if that is why that's a bad idea.

It's admirable that you want to make a difference in a child's life, but why an overseas adoption? The United States has thousands of babies and young children in orphanages just waiting to be adopted. But either way you decide you should be commended for your kindness and generosity.

You have to be at least 25 to adopt internationally and I don't think Africa has children available under 1 year of age. African children in need of families are usually older. Much older.

Research the discussion boards at adoption.com to learn about the African adoption programs.

first of all i want to say that you are an amazing person thinking(and planning) on adopting....but i doubt that you will be able to adopt a baby under a year old, since adoptions take time, even in north america.

since other people are using the example of angelina jolie, i will too. she had her baby pretty fast, because of who she is, the people she knew and the money she has, and i'm not saying thats a bad thing because she was helping/saving a little one.

I'd suggest going to an adoption agency and asking them what choices you have.

and maybe by the time that adopting is just around the corner, you may not be single anymore!

and check out the countries you're interested in.

Keep in mind, though, that adoption laws and procedures (especially internationally) change constantly!!  Likely the laws and procedures will be vastly different by the time you're ready to move forward.

If that is what you plan to do,then good on you!.

as you have plenty time,there is no harm in doing research,and opening a savings account. in stead of giving you presents you could ask relatives to deposit funds into your account if this helps!.

Actually there are plenty of babies here in the united states for adoption!!!! We adopted a little boy who was taken from his mother at 4 months!!! He was put in foster care and we got him at 10 months!!!

They have adoption fairs in many states and if you go to state websites for example: myflorida.com you can find a link and look at children that need adopted!!! most states have those websites and you can usually find them just by searching!!!

Also, if you adopt from florida they usually pay for the adoption fees!!! Different states have different adoption rules and programs so when you are older you can check into them.......

You should first look up some adoption agents and ,Talk to

them, tell them what kind of kid you want. Then look up Oprah she's done a lot for  them.

Also worry about this when you are  between 17-25

It will be better to look into the adoption at the time your planning on adopting. Things change and what ever the rules are now can change. Countries have been known to close themselves off from foreigner adoption. Good luck to you. And there are a lot of agencies in the US who do both domestic and foreign adoption. Gladyne is one of them
