Im a Diehard Red Wings fan and I dont like Marian Hossa??

I just got done hating him in the playoffs and now hes a Wing. it bothers me. Alot of users want to yell at me and tell me my opinion is wrong ans therefore im an idiot. so here you go guys. Line up and take your shots here. let me have it.

We LOST to the Pens in the ECF with Marian Hossa.I'd be jumping for joy if the Flyers added him.

The only shots people were taking at you for the most part is because you blocked them.In this section we don't take too kindly to people who block others because of a disagreement(Other Wings fans to boot).If that was the case I'd be blocked by people constantly.

**Ryan-I'm from Philly which is not the easiest place to live.I've been also battling my whole life but you have to understand that alot of times people will call you out.I've been called out a hundred times here and the only people I block are suspected trolls.If you disagree with me I'm not losing sleep over it BUT to block someone because you were called out?I'm pretty sure if you didn't block them a question wouldn't have been asked aboot you.It also didn't help that the two users you blocked (Tuna and Vinny) are very good users as well.Also threatening people with a beatdown isn't the way to go.I should know being 6'3 230 that I'd like to ring some nerds neck but why even think aboot it?

i think i would feel the same way as you. its hard to be happy that a guy you just hated like a month ago signed with your team. i understand what your saying. if i was a pen's fan i would be pissed too because he just went to the team that you lost to in the final. it kinda sucks for both fans. i think he will probably help the team but you never know it could mess up the chemistry or something.

I bet you really hated when the Wings got Chelios from the Hawks (I know I did) but now that he is wearing the Winged Wheel all is good in Hockeytown. Hossa is a perfect fit for what the Wings style of play is and they needed another scoring winger. He plays a great defensive game and could net 40 with the skill around him and the fact he could easily slide into the 2nd line (that leaves other teams #1 defensive pairing either ragged or not out there to watch him and likely Datsyuk & Franzen). Also keep in mind the best reason you have for not liking him was the fact he played very well and was one of their top players.....all the more reason to be grateful he is on our side now. Is he just chasing a Cup? Who cares, at least he understands where the best opportunity is and the Wings just improved their chances to repeat. Plus he was only a Pens rental not a guy who has been a thorn to the Wings (like Chelios was when he was a Blackhawk). Get over it and show him the love, after all he only wants what you and me want....a Cup in 09!

Eh, what can I say? I loved the guy, but his true priorities just showed, after this move...he wants money, and a cup, and it appears he's going to rent himself to the highest bidder who can attempt to offer a cup for a year at a time...IF he were serious about a cup, he'd have taken the Pens LONG TERM, and, apparently, very fair offer.

Say what you want about the Wings having a better chance at the Cup this year, but if he were serious about signing w/ a contender, one would figure it would be for more than a season. Apparently, he likes being a rental as much as people like renting him.

i'm a die hard mn wild fan and seeing andrew brunette on colorado fighting against us even tho he was once my favorite player really hurt me! i just learned to dislike him ...it was HARD ...and now he is on the Wild AGAIN!

I think your opinion is as valuable as any of ours. I persoanlly love Hossa. As a longtime Wings fan, I am excited. I think he willbe a great addition. He wants the Cup! He went to Pittsburgh to get it, so there will be motivation for him to play hard.

Your opinion will change on opening night.  Look what he did for Pittsburgh.  You guys have a more than decent shot of repeating next year and Hossa will play a huge role.

i dont want to yell at you because honestly when i found out he  was coming to play for us i wanted to throw up, i hated him. especially because i live in atlanta i knew how much everybody loved him. trust me you will love him. just a warning though, when we have a rematch, we will do everything in our power to get him hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan you are entitled not to like a player. That is cool. But with how sports are today the player you hate today can and will have a chance to be on your team tomorrow. That is the way it is. Nothing wrong with Hossa as a player. He will be good on the Wings. You can still hate him if you want, But he will help more than hurt. Why don't you just wait and see there. AS for the rest. I can honestly say I have never blocked ANYONE at all. Not necessary. Unless I am being harassed via e-mail then that would be another issue. Not even known trolls so far. I still get unnecessary thumbs down for someone that doesn't like me. I have an idea who it is though, but just shows how childish they are.

if someone points out an inconsistency, then acknowledge it. both differing opinions are ... just that ... differing. but to discredit theirs and vault yours is hypocritical.

so is implying that we don't want players from teams we have played before.

I didn't like Marian Hossa before during or after he was Penguin. But you learn to at least respect him. He's a good hockey player - regardless of if you like him or not... Which is what i learned.

Ryan, embrace him, not in the g*y way obviously. Depending on how things go he may be here awhile, regardless of his 1 yr deal. He will get more ice time if  any forwards get injured and will be accountable for quite a few points. He will only make the team better. He fits the Red Wings model, or he wouldn't be here. The Wings now have an even better chance of repeating! It's all about winning at this level and you know that.

Add....what were your thoughts when we tried for him at the deadline last season? I know is was hoping for it.

I'm a Pens fan, and you should embrace Hossa with open arms. He's a great player to get, and he's a disappointing player to lose (Specially since this FA year is looking promising for the Pens).

Seriously, I think that people just find it hard to believe that you can hate such a non-dirty good player.  I understand that when your favorite team plays another team, it is easy to fall into that "I hate the other team and their players" mode.  I remember after the Lightning played Calgary in the finals, I found a reason to hate Iginla...that's right...one of my favorite players, I hated for a bit because he mocked and joked about an injured Lighting player.  Now, I do love Iginla like I always had liked him, but I do understand what you are going though right now.  Once you see him contribute to the Wings, I am sure you will enjoy that his name on the Red Wings roster.  

As I said before you are entitled to your opinion.  I just wouldn't go around blocking people because they want to give you a hard time...it is just the Internet, you know.
