  2. or a passport mate

  3. NO ! You DO NOT need a visa to go to Hong Kong !

I go regularly. Those that say you do need one are WRONG !

  4. No you don't. The other's are partly correct, but not fully. Hong Kong is now within the territory within China but Hong Kong still controls immigration into Hong Kong and all domestic affairs. Hong Kong even has some unofficial "Trade Offices" ie embassies in other countries. The only thing that China controls is the military and international representation. For example, a person living in mainland China cannot simply move to Hong Kong because Hong Kong is outside of mainland China's immigration law, it is up to the Hong Kong government to let him in or not. Oddly enough, Hong Kong is still somewhat democratic, even more so than when it was within the territory of Britain.

Citizens of the UK do not need a visa for Hong Kong if they are traveling on a UK citizen passport. They are given 180 days (approx. 6 months) visa-free travel to Hong Kong. If traveling on other passports, visa-free time varies from a nothing, to a week to 90 days. If traveling on another developed country's passport, you are given 90 days visa-free entry to Hong Kong.

  5. Yes you do. Hong Kong is now part of China. It will be just the same as going to China. Same rules
