  1. Tap may be dead - like when soda at the bar goes flat the syrup needs to be changed....

  2. Beer is a carbonated beverage. When a beverage loses its carbonation, it goes 'flat' This is due to the fact it has been opened too long and exposed to the air. I can't imagine this being your fault, especially if its beer on tap. Tell your manager about it and have them check to see whats up. Its not your fault unless your opening bottles of beer and not giving them to costumers till hours later o.O Which I doubt you are. I wouldn't worry about telling your superior. It's nothing youll get in trouble for.

  3. Don't be afraid to ask questions, that's the way you learn. I don't think it's your fault, it may be time for a new keg or maybe the tapper is faulty.

  4. beer is not a carbonated beverage, that is not a requirement for beer, all ' lagers ' are artificially gassed with CO2, as are all ' keg beers' and most bottled, the exception is ' bottle conditioned' which would not be that popular with people as there would be a sediment in the bottle.  people are telling you the beer is flat, if it is an artificially gassed beer, either the pressure is wrong or the temperatiure is too high, if it is not artificially gassed, it is likely that the sparkler needs to be tightened, that is the doohickey at the end of the pump, its like a s***w, it sprays the beer into the glass.....i hope this helps.

  5. When rinsing beer glasses behind the bar, an iodine solution is frequently used for sterilization.  Unless it is thouroughly rinsed, the iodine residue will flatten a beer immediately.
