  1. one land card except for enchanted lands

artifacts and enchantments stay in play until destroyed

instants can be played in any players turn

sorcery can only be played in your turn

    library is the deck

  2. magiccardgame.com

  3. 1.  You are only allowed to play one land card a turn.  Unless you have something that says otherwise.  Summer Bloom allows you to play up to 4 lands in one turn.  Fastbond will let you play as many lands as you want for the price of 1 life each after the first land.  Crucible of Worlds will let you play lands from your graveyard (though this will still follow the one land a turn rule.)

    2.  Enchantments do not go directly into the graveyard after you play it.  That would be instants and sorceries.  Enchantments and Artifacts will stay in play until they are destroyed.  Aura's will stay in play until it is destroyed or the permanent it is enchanting is destroyed.

    3.  The library is your draw pile.  Your deck is your deck.

If you want to learn more, feel free to ask me or you can look at http://www.playmagic.com but I assume you already know a little about the game.  Good luck and have fun.

  4. -You are only allowed to play one land per turn from your hand.  A land is a land regardless if it's basic or nonbasic.  There are abilities that allow you to play more lands from your hand other than the one you are allowed to play.

-Enchantments don't actually go to the discard pile.  Enchantments stay on the field until they are destroyed or sacrificed.

-Instants are spells which can be played at any time or at the time specified on the card.  Sorceries are spells which can only be played on your turn.  However, instants that opponents play have a faster casting rate than sorceries so the instants resolve faster and the effects take place first.

Artifacts are just like enchantments except they can be played with ANY type of mana and most artifacts have some kind of activated ability.  There are also cards like Golems and Scarecrows which are Artifact Creatures, and the rules for those cards are those that apply to creatures and artifacts.

-Limited and banned cards for Vintage format can be found at the link posted below.

  5. If you really want to learn how to play Magic you should find other ppl who also play but if you can't you should visit this site http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=magic/r... They have links to the basic rule book and the comprehensive rules as well as links to videos that will teach you to build a basic deck.

    Playing since 1993

  6. no only one land card per turn, regardless of basic or nonbasic

enchantments, don't go to the discard pile, they go into play as a permanent

instants and sorceries go to the discard pile

    artifacts go into play

yes the library is the deck

  7. Nicolas, welcome to Magic the Gathering.

The rule, unless you use a spell to put a land into play, is you may only play one land card per turn, whether that is a basic land or a special land for mana.

Second, enchantments do NOT go direclty into the graveyard.  There are 2 types of enchantments, global and aura.  Global enchantments stay on the field of play and do not get removed until disenchanted or destroyed by another spell.  Enchantments give you special abilities you can utilize every turn it remains on the field of play or on the creature it is enchanting if the enchanment is an aura.  Instants and sorceries go to the graveyard after resolution of the spell.  Artifacts are like enchantments and remain in play until destroyed or killed as some artifacts are also creatures.  Your deck is known as your library.  Your graveyard is also known as your discard pile and there is a removed from game zone that is neither your library or your graveyard for cards that get removed from game.

As for banned and limited cards, take a look at the wizards website and search the gatherer thread.
