  1. LOL........................I see the rubs have invaded the sport bike community.

  2. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAA

    Ok sorry.

Terrible choice. If you're a newbie, then you shouldn't ride a veterans bike. It is extremely track focused, unforgiving, and monsterous. Insurance is going to rape your wallet and if you drop it while learning low speed maneuvers you're going to want to hang yourself.

Get a 600cc bike at the most. They are forgiving, still do 160mph, and less on insurance.

    Take a MSF course. http://www.msf-usa.org

    Buy the gear http://www.kneedraggers.com

See what happens when you think you don't need gear http://www.ride2die.com

I'm guessing you want a supersport, but if you want a little more comfort and a less expensive bike, look at sport tourers like the Ninja 650R, SV650S, GSX650F, 599, Ducati Monster, Yamaha R6S, yamaha FZ6.

EDIT: Biker for life: Why do you think Ducati is still around? lol Only a RUB can buy a $39,995 Ducati 1098R.

  3. Wow, PLEASE be a troll... PLEASE

Ok, the last thing you want to get as a beginner is a liter bike (1000cc's or more). The second to last thing you want to get as a beginner is an expensive Italian superbike (Ducati, Aprilla, etc).

If you really want a sporty bike, get a Suzuki SV650, or GSX500F

  4. nice knowing you!

  5. LOL, I hope this is a joke,

it's your money do what you want but you'll be sorry...

    try a CBR / GSX-R 600 or an R6 for starters.

  6. go with a ninja your no where near ready to handle a ducati

  7. What does that mean "beginning biker"??  If you truly mean a first time rider on a motorcycle, and you are of average build, yeah then get the road miles under your belt first.   You are going to find a smaller bike will do highway speeds just fine(and that is frickin fast)when the rain is pelting you in the face, or bugs or you hit gravel,....   Two wheels is two wheels.

I didn't spend my time on the highways - I spent it off where cars could not go.   There you want a bike you can pick up off the ground time after time after time (because nobody else will do it for you).  My first 2 bikes were Enduro's(on/off road bikes when I chose to) My  third was a 400 street - what a bore.  I drive a car, I know what the road is like.

I quit driving bike after I rearended a car with my fourth bike 750(or was it when I hit an oil patch and laid it on its side as it(and me) slid across the freeway??).  Can't remember.

Too close to death for comfort.

Rent one for awhile from a rental shop to get an idea on the power they have.  If you are hot and heavy for a "pocket rocket" there is nothing anyone can say or do to make you see the error in your ways.
