  1. Get baptized, get into a good BIBLE BELIEVING church (I cannot stress that enough) and depend on the Holy Ghost to teach you the scriptures. Just ask Him.

You do these things and you will become a strong Christian.

  2. Are you sure you're saved? The Bible says that you will produce fruit if you are truly saved. These fruits include love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance....do you see these "fruits" in your life? If not, you need to re-evaluate your position with God...also, if truly saved, you should have a desire to know God more fully...

Be careful, MANY people are decieved by a user friendly, faux version of "Christianity" implying that God takes you as you are, and doesn't care what happens after that...once you're His child, go on living however....this is a horrible lie! If you're interested in more information on this, e-mail me, or comment me about it on Myspace, and I'll get back to you.

  3. Finding a Church is an important thing. It gives you that Christian fellowship that we are all blessed to be able to have. It helps keep me in line with the Word. But other than that you need to study the Bible, and have a strong prayer life! Prayer gives you a very personal connection with God. But try looking for a good Church.

  4. read the bible start with john.

  5. get off your lazy duff grab you bible and read it that's how you do it no other way read it chap by chap verse by verse God wants can-do type people these are whom He is looking for the ones who get sealed with the 7 seals in their mind He has a use for you He needs you you have a job to do so get cracking get to know the truth it is all in His letter to you the bible

  6. Becoming a strong Christian happens only by believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and then by reading the Bible  :)

Water baptism cannot save, and water baptism is not required for salvation.

Water baptism is a celebration that you're ALREADY saved, so if you're not 100% positive right now that you'll be in heaven when you die, then there's no point in getting water baptised.

The only way to be saved is by believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And if you believe, then you can get water baptised, and when you do, just enjoy the time and thank Jesus for dying for your sins and that Jesus rose from the dead! :)

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is this: The truth is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal h**l is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved!

Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die. :)

  7. We don't get strong by starving ourselves. We need to read God's Word and have fellowship with His people.

  8. Well you do need to go to church and a bible study would probably be really good for you. In order to be spiritually strong we must walk in the footsteps of Christ and learn about him everyday that we are here. Also being around other Christians will help to motivate and encourage you. I was baptized 1 week ago and I feel stronger than ever. Don't run from what your heart desires. Especially if it is God. He is Good

  9. Find time to read your Bible. Pray to God and ask Him to manifest Himself in you.

And when I say "Find time to read your Bible", I don't mean hold a little fifteen minute quiet time once a week--I mean set aside half an hour to an hour a day devoted to studying God's word in depth.

Paul uses the analogy that just as a Baby needs milk to

grow, so do Christians need to feed themselves with the spiritual nourishment that the Bible gives.

And I also strongly advising attending a church... Christian fellowship is absolutely crucial in this... sinful world

    -Edit-

And "by His Grace" brings up a good point too. I strongly agree with everything he has to say.

  10. Read Acts chapters 2, 8, 10 and 11, and pray to be filled with the Spirit.  Then find a church that believes and experiences what you read about.

  11. You have taken the first step now you must the next. You have started with a Desire.  Even though it is not a great desire yet, you can help it to grow by beginning with prayer.  Start by praying both when you wake up and when you go to bed.  Thank your Father in Heaven for the things he has given you then ask him for help in areas that you need it.  Ask him to help you to find the right church.  Then listen.

I would start to read your scriptures each day too.  I love to read the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  They contain the words of Jesus and that is a definitely good place to start.

Do these two things consistently for a while and be patient.  When you feel ready then go on a quest to find the right church.  They can't all be right.  God would not allow so much confusion to exist in his church.  Make sure that you feel the witness of the Holy Ghost in their meetings if you do not, then move on.  Each time when you pray ask your Father in Heaven if this is where he wants you to be

I really believe he will guide you to the truth.  I feel like I have found it but it wouldn't be fair to tell you because only you can find out for yourself.  I would be glad to have you email me though with questions.  If you would like to do this just click on my picture.  Good Luck!

  12. First, I must ask you one question (actually two):  Is there anything you are doing that you know God wants you to STOP doing?  And the second is like it, is there anything that you are NOT doing that you know God wants you to START doing?

God said, "The ear of the Lord is not heavy that He can not hear you, nor is His hand shortened that He can not reach you, but your own sins have separated between you and God."  (Jeremiah something).

Going to church is for two reasons:  Getting fed spiritually, and fellowshiping with like-minded believers.  The Bible says, "Forsake NOT the assembling together of believers,"  and yet that is exactly what you are doing!

An illustration will help:  If you use coals to start a fire in a grill, the coals will remain hot as long as they stay together.  But if you separate one piece of coal from the rest, it will quickly cool down.

You mentioned not having been baptized, and that's not a problem, because it's not about baptism (at least, not until you're ready to make a solid commitment to the Lord).  What's important is how much time you spend with God, both quantity as well as quality time with God.

Do you pray every day?  You should if you want God to hear from you.

Likewise, do you read the Bible every day?  You should if you want God to speak to you.

I pray that your hunger for God will far outweigh your individualism.  Remember, Jesus said that if you want to follow Him (be His disciple), you must deny Self, take up your cross (a thing to DIE on), and follow Him.

God bless you as you re-evaluate your life with God.

  13. to be a christian is -- being Christ like-- once baptised, u'r life will change for the better.  U truly need to repent and turn away from u'r sins-- no matter what it is.. If u keep dabble in small sin, it still sin...  U really need to pray, and believe that Christ Jesus died, rose, and claimed VICTORY for us belivers, dont believe fasle teachings.  God loves u and wants u to open u'r heart to Him and His word and teaching. Find a good HOLY BIBLE based church, fellowship with the people of Light, and God will change u'r outlook on life.  With God all things are Possible,  TRUST. FAITH. in Jesus' name. Amen...

  14. The first thing to be a strong Christian is to follow the New Testament pattern of being baptized. Just about every time someone believed in Christ Jesus as Savior, he or she was baptized. The Book of Acts has many examples of this. Why not start your Bible reading with the Gospel of John, first, and then follow this by reading Acts?

This leads to the second thing, namely, being sure to read your Bible every day. If it's hard to read the print versions, you can find on-line versions in several translations at websites like http://www.blueletterbible.org or http://www.ccel.org or http://bible.crosswalk.com  and I'm sure there are many others.

Thirdly, to stay strong, get in a Bible preaching church and try to find a place where you can use your spiritual gifts, natural talents, and so on. That way, when you contribute, you will feel better by knowing you've done your part to help the church do things even better! Contact a local pastor first before you walk in cold, or maybe you have a co-worker who attends a good church? Pray, and then respond to what our Lord tells you to do. God bless.

  15. you need to read your bible more, fellowship with other christians do not hang out with the wrong crowd and pray everyday.
