well i'm a cutter but i want to stop but i also don't want to worry my parents have a plane and thats to keep my self occupied any ideas i am 16 years of age

  3. It all depends on whether you are an Emo kid or not. I know this sounds strange but the mind is very adaptive. In Emo culture, kids tend to cut themselves for attention (whether they are aware of this or not). This attention can be addictive and the mind relates the cutting with the good feeling of attention. Its a nasty corelation.

    As you are 16 and are showing signs of maturity by addressing the problem, I believe you will grow out of it soon. My experience with these kids is that the cutting, although posing a serious health risk, is just a phase. It has a cultural attachment to Emo culture and a cognitive attachment to either attention or a need to physically experience a thought of pain. I'd get out and find things you enjoy doing. I would also recommend forming bonds with your parents and siblings and engaging in activities with them.
