  1. If he was permanently disabled, or died due to his military service then you may be entitled to use his GI Bill.

  2. If your Dad was a 100% disabled veteran  then you would have been granted educational benefits under Chapter 35. This would allow you to got to school for 4 years and draw a check from the Veterans Administration to pay for schooling. The key is that your Dad would have to be 100% disabled and that Chapter 35 benefits had been granted.

    Simply being the child of a veteran will not work.

    Good Luck to you.

  3. It depends if he had a disability before he passed away.

    The rules state that;

    To be eligible,you must be a spouse,son or daughter (including stepchild or a adopted child) , of a

           o Veteran who is permanently  and totally disabled as a result of,or dies of, a service - connected disability. The disability must arise out of or be aggravated by active duty.

           o Veteran with a permanent and total service connected disability who dies from any cause.

  4. ask you mom....Were your father still alive, you would be eligible for a lot until you are 21, but since he has passed I do not know. ...

  5. Probably only if he was killed on active duty, or maybe if he was a POW or if he was disabled due to military service.  Contact your schools financial aid office to know for sure.
