Im a filipina,workin n dubai, with a resident visa.my canadian citizen fiancee and i want to get married soon?

and stay in canada.what is the best possible solution for me to be able to stay in canada -

apply a visit visa to canada, get married there , and work out the migration process

or

marry in philippines, let him come back to canada and apply for my immigration vsa?

which is the fastest process and best solution so we can be together asap?

  2. The fastest and the best are two different things.

    Applications to sponsor a spouse's permanent residency application are processed faster from OUTSIDE Canada.

    It also simplifies the process as you would have to extend a visitor's visa if you apply from WITHIN Canada, given than the permanent residency approval can take over a year.

  3. I'm not sure if you can get fiancee visa for canada.  Just go back  to Philippines and get married there

  4. Janna, come to Canada and get married (civil) here. You can stay while your PR papers are being processed. But you may not work until you get your PR papers.
