I can never thin of nothing to talk about he walked me to gym class and we didn't talk the ENTIRE way

Just start up a conversation and he will notice you.  Not talking is big turn off for most people.  Just try talking to him about his likes and dislikes and his interests.  Then talk to him about how are things going how do you like classes and stuff like that.
