Im a fun-loving outgoing SMART girl. why do people assume im stupid?

Question

I go to a state university and i still get people who think i am "dumb".

i am very intelligent. does it have to do with my outgoing personality.. or is it my looks? Do i look stupid? im a brunette. not that it matters; i know very intelligent blondes too. but i dont know why people always make this assumption... its baffling to me

Youre defiently super pretty.

Same thing happens to me.

Ive been on high honors all my life and Ive ever gotten presidental awards, :]. But people think since I dont wear glasses and wear turtlenecks I cant be smart.

They act like its impossible to achieve both prettiness and smartness.

Maybe its in your manner of speaking or interacting with people. They see other girls that look like you and dress like you and they just assume that you're dumb like them. Ignore it. Prove your intelligence and they'll admire you.

Wow i have the same problem!!

I am clever, I just think that I act quite young sometimes (I'm 16)

I am kind of shy, so sometimes I tend to giggle a lot, which maybe makes me look ditzy and dumb?

I also happen to have blonde-ish hair, i don't suppose that helps haha..
