  1. Hi,

First of all, cut the attitude.  You'll never make it in this business with that attitude.  Never say, "I'm a good dancer, and I'm good enough for a competition."  Directors, choreographers, judges, and anyone else you want to impress will just cut you loose and lose all respect for you.

Next, please be more specific.  What do you need help with?  I can answer a lot of questions about dance, but you're going to need to be more specific than that.  Please feel free to contact me with detailed questions.

edit -- (if you don't speak english, there is a yahoo! answers for each language! =]) also, nobody is going to bother to be polite in this business.  i finished crying about the rudeness of the directors and my superiors after the first hundred times.

  2. Can you make your answer more specific. Do you need to know where you can find dance groups?

P.s. "See my pointe" I think if the asker cannot speak English well they may have written it in a way that seems a bit rude. Then again, if they can speak perfectly your point is entirely valid.

  3. Not really sure what you mean here, but I'll try to help.  In competitions, the judges are looking for stage personalities - how big you smile, how confident you dance, etc.  No matter what, never stop dancing (like if the music stops or you fall down)  Never get caught crying and always use every accident to your advantage (in one dance, the hats kept falling off so one kid who lost his hat did this really cool move to pick up his hat and looked like it was part of the choreography)  Good luck!
