And how long will it take to grow to that length from a pretty short haircut?

oh my, do u have a body liek him too!!! whooo..

anyway, let it grow and then go to a salon (a teaching school is a lot cheaper) and ask them for foils (highlights that do more than the cap) and ask for a lot of them and use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner and put some spray get in or mousse (just a littl, u dont want that wet look) and clow dry and tease it a little bit, it will give it more volume like he has,,if u have thin hair
