  1. awww that's cute. you're not pathetic; you're sensitive. :]

  2. There are many poetry sites on the Internet with lots of poetry by men and boys. Many of the great poetic masters were men; only a few are mentioned by Neonman, because the list is so long.

Perhaps you would like to look at some books of contemporary poetry by men. If so, check out one of my favorite poetry websites: www.poetsofmars.com where you will see at least two books of poetry written exclusively by men, one just published a few months ago and the other to be published shortly.

  3. Being poetic and writing does not make you pathetic. But, being in love with your best friend does. I went through that in high school; it is a set up for misery. You need to tell her straight up how you feel about her, or you'll get locked in the friend zone, forever. Tell her now! I mean right now--call her up, run over to her house, anything--just do it now man for christ sake.

  4. Thoreau, Whitman, Shakespeare, yes, they were all pathetic too!  Frost, another pathetic character. And I guess myself, I must be pathetic too.  We are just a bunch of pathetics that pen thoughts with words that have poetic structure interwoven, that make people stop and think a little.  Welcome to the pathetic world of pathetics.

  5. Men without emotions are called Accountants, Moderators, Divorcees, Auditors , Loners, Murderers, Psychos, George....

  6. Well I don't know what guys would think but I know that most girls(me included) will tell you that it's not pathetic on the contrary it's cute I mean I would love to see any of my guy friends cry during a sad movies it would just be special in a way.

  7. You may be pathetic, I don't know...but it isn't for any of the reasons you've mentioned if you are.  Keep writing poetry and as importantly, keep that girl!

  8. That all depends on the poetry. Is it pathetic?

  9. You're not pathetic at all, i think its a good thing for guys to write poetry and cry in movies :D

  11. The answer is "NO"!

Good for you, writing poetry! Your best friend is indeed a best friend for encouraging you. As others have written, there have been many, many male poets, so you should view your passion more positively because you are in good company.

Don't worry about being drawn to poetry, I personally can't imagine anyone, male or female, not loving it!

BTW, if movies are sad, we should all be able to cry, it's been proven to be a healthy response! Helps the immune system, or something :)

  12. nope....on the contrary, i think your amazing!!! hehe!!! only a few men could use their talent for useful things.. and poetry making is a plus point for girls... gives you a certain heir of romance..^_^
