  1. If you wanna be successful and make the grades and go to good college, hang out with the smart kids. And don't go dating people (its a big waste of time).

If you wanna have fun, just be nice to everyone and make everyone like you and go get a bf or something and do whateer you like.

  2. Go over your wardrobe and update if necessary.  I know it sounds trite but kids can live or die depending how they are dressed.  My kids have been beat up for wearing the "wrong clothes" and have been idolized for wearing the "right" clothes.  I hate to even say this, but it is important.  People are really superficial and that is the first thing they will see and judge you on.  That and your smile.  Remember to smile and be polite.  If you don't smile they will think you are stuck-up.  That's another big issue with kids.   (Gosh, I'm glad my kids stay home.  I love seeing home school kids in their eclectic clothes.  They are such individuals.)

If you take treats to school, share! Everybody loves a treat.

There is always some quiet lonely kid in school that is hoping a nice person will come and be nice to them, notice that kid. And don't concern yourself with the "popular kids", they are the minority and they can make everbody else miserable.  If there is any group, sport etc. that you are interested in, join.

Good Luck.  Keep smiling and you will have a great time in school!

  3. find a group or a good friend

    don't talk nonstop

    but do talk

don't feed off cliches cliques and stereotypes although you could sum up high school with those 3 words

  4. Good luck is all I can give.

    =)

  5. keep a low profile, dont open yourself up to every tom and d**k and harry. keep fairly quiet for the 1st month or 2 months and then when you think you good friend or friends open up to them.

  6. Well, in my high school its really easy because everybody is really nice. Pretty much anyways. And the jocks and cheerleaders aren't as bad as in movies. You should just talk to a lot of people. Don't go overboard, because then you will be annoying. Laugh. Be friendly. Get to know your counselor, because I talk to mine all the time about classes and college.

  7. Well congratulations! this should be a good year for you. Remember to be open to everyone and always be nice to people because you never know who could turn out to be your best friend. There are many popularity contests and you just have to ignore rude comments. For education, it's pretty much the same as at home, exept more fun because other kids your age will be there. Good Luck!

  8. Keep your eyes on the books and not on the guys!!!
