  1. becoming a vet requires a higher score then you  need to become a doctor so you really have to be committed. as its in the medical field you will obviously have to keep science a big part of your curriculum, as well as maths, english and another language other then english to get into university.

ask your careers advisor exactly what classes you need to take though

  2. Take all honors and AP courses and focus on your sciences, volunteer at pound or animal hospital or both. I am doing the same except I don't want to be a Vet.

  3. Take 4 years of math and 4 years of science in high school. You can try taking honors and AP math and science classes to show your dedication. Vet school requires a lot of math, which is why I don't want to be a vet.

Try to get an internship or volunteer activity at a local vet's office and ask the vet lots of questions. They are great resources for finding out more about becoming a vet.

    Good luck!

  4. You can volunteer at an animal shelter until you're old enough to work. When you can, apply for a job at an animal hospital. There is nothing you can do in regards to school until after you graduate high school, other than pay attention in science and biology. I thought I wanted to be a vet too, until I worked at an animal hospital hospital for over a year. I don't mean that to sound discouraging, many people like it, but it's a good idea to submerge yourself in that kind of environment BEFORE you spend thousands and thousands of dollars on schooling. Good luck, I hope it works out!
