  1. Please visit the link giving below which provides you with the requrements of a nurse working in the UAE:

    http://www.gulfnews.com/uaessentials/res...

Here nurses apply for jobs in Abu Dhabi: http://www.moh.gov.ae/new_web/f_nurs.htm...

    Here for Dubai: http://www.dohms.gov.ae/default

After taking the test you can feel free to work in any of the 7 Emirates.

    Take care.

edit Moderato: Visa terms and conditions got changed effect today!

  2. A lot of people enter Dubai with a tourist visa and start work before their employment visa is approved.  It's technically illegal, but it doesn't seem to be something the authorities enforce as long as the application is in progress.

  3. .....yes, many Filipinos take the risk in going to UAE even they only have tourist visa....the problem is, you are not sure if you can find an employer with that span of time. Usually tourist visa is only 15 days so you should have pocket money to buy your own food, shelter and transportation. After 15 days you need to go out in UAE.

...You're a nurse, don't go by this method. You can come to UAE legally without problems since nurses are in demand nowadays....

  4. Hi ... Could anyone tell me? I am Thai and am  NCLEX passer.I am interested in working in Dubai. Is it acceptable for workinging there?

  5. If you want to be a housemaid then go with what your friends did... It's not a joke coming here in that way... Only those who have relatives who are well established here always survives...

If you're a certified nurse in the Philippines then you can be easily hired as Clinic Assistant in some small clinics here like Dental clinics.  Take note that the Philippine's Medical Licenses is not honored here!!!  You must first passed the Ministry of Health's exam before you can exercise your specialization!

If you don't have any other abilities then you could end up frustrated in the end.

I better suggest you to take up some short courses like English proficiency and Arabic language.  If you want to land as office staff then also learn MS Office applications like MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.  Some basic accountant skills will be a plus factor.

    Before:

Visit Visa is 60 days.  And if you're under your relatives' sponsorship you can extend it up to 30 days upon expiration. 90 days total, otherwise only 60 days if you get it in the travel agency.  You can renew it after the expiration provided that you will exit Dubai.  But of course it is tiring, time consuming and will cost you around 1000 - 1650 Dirham, hotel accommodation and food is not included.

Our good friend H corrected me and said that the visa terms has changed, maybe she should put the article-link for us to know the new changes!!!

If someone will buy for you for the visit visa and air ticket then it is better because it is cheaper here.  Visit Visa in travel agencies is around 650 Dirham while Air Ticket two way (one is dummy) will cost you around 2,650 - 3,100 Dirham.  More than this means someone is making money out of you!!!

If you're hard headed - then try it for yourself....

or else look for local but legal recruitment agencies (I suggest www.ipams.com) it's much easier and better...

Welcome to the Land of Sand...

    P.S.

Edit: Ms. H (U.A.E.'s Top Contributor) maybe it's a false alarm, the New Visa Fees is not yet final... look at this link: http://www.khaleejtimes.com/DisplayArtic...
