I'm a pre-school teacher using english as medium of instruction. I'm teaching Koreans, Japanese, Americans, and Filipino kids aged 4yrs. to 7yrs. old. I have really hard time in teaching my subject due to different approach in teaching Math. My boss asks me to use Bug doctors, Magnetics, wood blocks. I'm doing pretty well for 2 and a half years but now, I'm stressed because I cannot make anything new. Seems I ran out of ideas. Please help me if someone out there have the same experiences with me or just give me sites that I can check out. Thanks for all your help.

  1. I love this site. Teachers can post ideas for math, science and art related to theme:

  2. Math huhhh are these kids in a preschool? I don't understand why you have kids 4-7 unless they are different times of the day.  what is it you are suppose to be teaching them?   you can do number bingo, dominos, you can use clothes pins and tongue depressor and file folders to make your own things.  Example: make trace the tongue depressors on file folders the FF has the matching objects what ever it is and the TD has the real number.. I used to use FF and TD for  alll kids of thngs like colors, shapes and all kinds of stuff for teacher made things i had to make for my preschool. There is more to math than numbers.    email with info and I will try to help you more.

  3. Bless your heart!! Youre doing somethng very special and I wish you all the best!! Some of the sites I use and love are : Kindercorner.com, kinderthemes.com, lessonplans.com, and if ever i cant find something I always google the lesson and age group and usually it pulls up something great to use!! Good LUCK!!!

  4. You can go to www.lessonplanspage.com

  5. Everything I needed to know about teaching pre-school aged asians, I learned from watching Star Trek.

  6. Yahoo!kids is the Yahoo HP for kids, has some ideas.

What exactly did they teach you when you were training to become a pre-school teacher???  Or are you an unlicensed teacher that can speak English. This is usual in Asian countries to hire 'native teachers', that's anyone who can speak English irrelevant whether or not they can teach.

Whatever, now you need to start educating yourself.  Read on the subject, use your imagination and write down a lesson plan for each lesson.  At the end, evaluate your own lesson, this will be a future reference for you. Good luck

  7. Be creative, use the internet for ideas, family fun.com has always creative ideas for different themes, Wonderyears.com also has ideas. For story time go to KIZCLUB.COM, you will find the pictures for felt board stories. I hope this help.
