  1. i agree with the people ahead of me. seirously I play on a travel team and I am also a server but do NOT nag a coach it's really annoying and they will remember that. start practicing on passing. well actually what are your ambitions playing which position you need to establish that first! do you wanna play outside? middle? or are you a weak side hitter? do you have skills set for a DS? you need to evaluate yourself and figure out what you wanna play and focus on those skills and show to your coach what you can do during practices.

  2. just go and tell her straight up, ya know, i like playing vball but i wanna actually play the game and just always serve. thats the way i would do it. so thats my opinon, but then again i say ALOT of things that shouldn't be said!

    hope my advice helps

  3. Setters have the task for orchestrating the offense of the team. They aim for second touch and their main responsibility is to place the ball in the air where the attackers can hit the ball into the opponents' court in the easiest way possible. They have to be able to operate with the hitters with variety and break up the enemy's block. Setters need to have swift and skillful appraisal and tactical accuracy, and must be quick at moving around the court.

  4. serve

  5. First of all, stop asking when you're gonna get more playing time...I as a coach can't stand it when my girls do that...show what you have on the court, jump into someone's position if they aren't paying attention to show you can do it...make yourself known!  They will see I promise.

  6. Don't go right out and ask your coach when you are going out play more.  Just ask what you can do to get more playing time and they will almost always be happy to help you improve.

  7. in practive u need to start showing some of your other skills and he will see u as a more versatile player worthy of more playing time

  8. I know how you feel, i play JV all the time, but i am varsity level, even my couch says so, but because we hardly have any players, he makes me play JV.  Thankfully he lets me play varsity some.  but i want to play varsity all the time.  I myself am trying to prove to him that i am good enough to be on the Varsity team full time.  and if not full time, then to at least play me more.

so what i have done is just shut my mouth about it, when i'm sitting varsity, i cheer, i have a good attitude, and show that i am content with where he has me.  But in practice, i show him what i can do.  I try my best, and if the my best isn't good enough, well, at least i get to play JV.

  9. Wow! You're lucky. I'm libero and I never get to serve. Milk it for all its worth!
