  1. longer the cruise less kids...they cost more..

  2. Princess, Holland America try this site http://www.LouMarTravel.com

  3. I would suggest Princess cruise lines. They have a wonderful kids program which has it own security. You will see Youth Security at many functions making sure the kids are behaving and not in the way. They have certain areas of the theater that kids cannot sit and other adults only activities. If you stay away from spring bring and go either Jan or Feb, or Oct to Thanksgiving you will find the best prices and the fewest kids.

  4. Pick a time when the rugrats are in school - families with children tend to travel during the summer, spring break, and winter break btw Christmas and New Year's, and any long weekends.  So, ideally, cruise during the week.

Most of the ritzier cruise lines tend to have fewer kids, but almost all the cruise lines do a really good job of keeping the tykes isolated to certain areas of the ship, so you won't be bombarded with their presence except maybe at the pool.

  5. Go when the little darlings are in school.  May has been a good time of there year to have a small peanut crowd ( I know this becasue I have brought my 12 year old the last 2 years and there hasnt been more than 20 kids that are school age on either cruise) Avoid anything in the summer and Presidents week.

  6. If you don't go looking for kids on the ship you won't see much of them, I can never find mine! these ships are huge and there are plenty of places to go to get away from kids. Also check out some of the dating sites they sometimes plan singles cruises that way you know there will be plenty of singles aboard. I've been on a few that was mostly families and very few singles. Its a kind of hit or miss thing one week the ship has plenty the next it doesn't. Also go on a school week not a school vacation week.

  7. if u want to avoid kids on a cruise ship, don't go over presidents weekend or east coast spring break.  on carnival the little rug rats ran all over the ship unsupervised. on celebrity line i only saw them at dinner.  the trips to the Caribbean were filled with singles with great excursions. have fun

  8. Any cruise longer than 7 days will have many fewer kids. Didn't see any on my last 10 day and it was even during the notorious "spring break". We are limited as to when we can cruise because my husband works for a school system. We also wanted a break from kids.

  9. Pick a cruise with very few kids--Holland America Cruise Line.

  10. I went on a Holland America cruise to the Caribbean a few winters ago, and I don't know if there were any kids on the ship.  If there were, it was only a couple.  There were mostly middle-aged people and older people on the ship.  (I was about 22 at the time I went, and was one of the youngest people I saw on the ship.)  Holland America might be a good choice for you.  (I really enjoyed the cruise, by the way.  Everything about the ship and the service was great.)

  11. There are cruises certain times of the year that are specfic to singles. Most of the cruise lines do this a few weeks a year. You have to contact a travel agent to find out the dates.
