can you borrow a digital camera?

take pictures of ball bearings smacking into sand.  show how craters are made and what happens around the edges, then do the same with slush on water... slush on sand...

this is actually good research, as there is a liklihood that 'slush-worlds' are out there orbiting our gas giants.

measuring the speed of light using M&Ms and a microwave oven is pretty cool I think and you can share the results around afterwards

There are several good sites.http://www.scienceproject.com/projects/i... lists senior biology sites. If you go to just http://www.scienceproject.com, you find a list of projects according to age and to area. It covers just about everything from biology to chemistry.

This is another great link:http://www.sciencehound.com/ After you have handed in your project you can display it here or you can create a free website if you know how to do that. Give your links in your report. (That may impress your teacher)

Pick something simple like the effect of tea & coffee  on plants.

Scientific method and great documentation are what are important.

In your writing, please check spelling and check your grammar. Maybe your teacher would be willing to look over any spelling before you hand in your project. Try your English teacher about this. See if they are willing to preview your writing before you hand it in. Yes spelling and grammar counts. (I know because I am a retired teacher) Before you hand in your project be sure and tell your parents and your teacher what it is. Keep from telling your classmates. Someone may try to duplicate your project if they know about it.

Anything with the environment, food, health or IQ is very important for today's world. That could get you extra points. Try using your imgination too. Have fun!
