    Purpose of Visit:-

    This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for tourism purposes.

    Documents Required:-

       - Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months

       - One visa application form completely filled out

       - Two passport-size photographs (2"x2") (photocopy or photo taken from Photostat will not be accepted). Photographs must have a light color background with a full- face view of the person without wearing a hat or dark glasses. Photos must be taken within 6 months.

       - A copy of round-trip ticket or itinerary paid in full

       - A copy of recent bank statement or evidence of adequate finance

        ($500 per person and $1,000 per family)

       - For non-US citizen, a copy of permanent resident alien card with employment verification or a copy of valid US visa with employment verification letter

       - For self-employed, business license or business registration indicating the applicant’s name

       - When submitting application by mail, application must include self-address return envelope by these following mail service

         1. Next-day Express Mail (US Post Office) with $ 16.50 postage stamp (Metered stamps will not be accepted)

         2. FedEx with a prepaid air bill or FedEx account number and envelope.

       - Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary.

    Visa Processing Fees:-

         Visa processing fee is $35 per entry.

         If application is submitted in person, visa processing fees are payable in cash or money order made payable to “The Royal Thai Embassy”.

         If application is submitted by mail, please pay by money order only.

    Validity of a visa:-

         The Validity of a visa is 3 months

    Period of stay:-

         Travelers with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 60 days.

    Extension of stay:-

         Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their type of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located on Soi Suan Plu, off South Sathorn Road, Bangkok 10120, Tel (662) 287-3101 to 10 or at http://www.immigration.go.th

         The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer.

    Passport required, which must be valid at least 6 months and

    in good condition.

    1. If travelling for touristic purposes:

       visa not required for a max. stay of 30 days.

       Extension possible. Fee THB 1,900.- (1 photo required).

       Note: there is a max. limit of a total of 90 days stay

       within any 6 month period. Return/onward ticket is required.

    2. In all other cases: visa required.

       Travel on one-way ticket is permitted.

       Visas issued by the Thai Consulate in Amman, Jordan (now

       closed) will only be honoured when issued to nationals of

       Jordan. Visas issued to any national by the Thai Embassy

       in Amman, Jordan, will be honoured.

    If holding APEC Business Travel Card (clearly stating on the

    reverse that it is valid for travel to Thailand):

    visa not required, for a max. stay of 90 days, provided APEC

    card is accompanied by passport and, in the case of being a

    resident of Hong Kong, a Hong Kong Permanent Resident Identity

    Card.

    Visitor must hold all documents for next destination.

    If being over 12 years old, visitor must also hold sufficient

    funds to cover stay (at least THB 20,000.- approx. USD 640.-

    per person/family).

    Proof of funds includes letter of credit, vouchers, MCO's or

    well-known credit cards (not applicable if holding re-entry

    visa).

    Non-compliance with the visa regulations will result in:

    - refusal and immediate deportation of passenger;

    - fines for the airline of THB 20,000,-;

    - overstay fine for passenger of THB 500,- per day (but not

      exceeding in total THB 20,000.-).
