Im a welder and want to go work in canada ? can anyone give me any numbers or websites or information to help?

  1. If you're looking for a job, search for HRDC and go to their job listings or try Workopolis. Once you have a job, go to your local consulate and apply for a work visa. If you'd like to relocate to Canada AND THEN find a job and get a work visa, call your consulate for a Visitors Visa which, if you have a passport, will be good for six months in Canada.


  2. I'm not sure where you are from but I would say your first step should be too find a United Association of Steamfitters Pipefitters and Plumbers. The UA can find you a job. Or you should look in the Alberta area. There is a high demand for welders in Alberta. It should not be too hard to find a job as a welder here. Any Trade is in high demand pretty much everywhere here. The only problem I could see is your Qualifications. Depending on where you are from you may have to retest or take a welding course or two.
