Im currently almost 2 months pregnant and for the last week or so I have been able to eat anything, for three days I was in bed with a fever and I couldnt even get up and eat, I tried to eat but I just cant, its not just in the morning though its all day, I dont know what to do but I know I need to eat I even bought those sea bands but that didnt help, neither does crackers or anything salty i'll throw that up too, Is there anything else to try to help me keep my food down, thanks.

  1. Take B6, my midwives recommended I take 1 tab on top of my regular prenatal vitamin.  It worked for me and then I didn't have to take any unnatural medication from the Doctor.

  2. when i was pregnant i went to the hospital to the labor and delivery floor and they gave me an iv and an antinasea pill and i could not leave until i held crackers down. but there is a pill for it so i would talk to your doctor before you get dehydrated...the cruddy thing with my hospital stay was after 12hrs i thought i could hold them down but then the food trays came i had to stay 3more ugh

  3. ginger should do the trick.. anything with ginger in it or ginger tablets... good luck...

  4. If this sickness continues or worsen tell your Doctor. I had morning sickness very bad at the begging stages of my pregnancy so I told my Doctor and he put me on medication. The on he put me on still wasn't strong enough so I had to get on something even stronger and this one did help. But yes just tell your Doctor and he will give you a prescription.

  5. I'm not sure but this is what I have heard as I have been trying to get pregnant, I was told anything with ginger in it before you even get out of bed in the morning will stop morning sickness. Maybe if you got some ginger tea bags and had someone boil you some water and bring it to you, it may help. I also heard ginger snaps work well. Good luck- it must be tough.

  6. Anything with ginger helped me a little. Your doctor can give you something, if you can't keep any food down. I ended up just waiting it out, it started to get better around week 10.

  7. There is medication your doctor can put you on. Just tell him/her that it is unbearable and you can't stand it anymore. Whatever you do, do NOT drink water in the morning--it only makes it worse. But some sprite or 7up and drink it very, very slowly-little sips with saltines. If that won't work, then you need to go to the hospital so they can give you an iv and you won't get dehydrated. Good luck!

  8. Call your Dr they will give you some meds for it i had to do the same thing and the meds work great good luck and hope you feel better

  9. I would call your doctor. I had a similar problem and was put on a medication to help with the nausea. It turned out I had hyperemeisis, so the meds didn't work for me, but that's pretty unusual. They'll probably help you feel a ton better!

  10. well, a fever is not something that is normal, do you still have any?? Toast really helps me, i am sorry i know this sucks, i am 21 weeks and my tummy is still reeling:-() Call your dr and he/she can prescribe some antinausea meds that may help, drink fluids and take it easy, watch for dehydration. GOD BLESS!!!

  11. I was so sick that I lost almost 20 lbs with my 3 baby and was very worried that I was not nourishing my baby. My OB told me that fortunatley the baby at this stage needs very little nourishment from the food you eat. Make sure you are taking your prenatal vitamine. And make sure you are keeping hydrated. I finally started gaingin some weight in my 6th month and he was perfectly healthy when he was born :) Try some broth(the cubes you can buy that dissolve in a cup of boiling water)  or boxed chicken soup. The noodles are smaller easier to eat. Also popsicles.  Those things helped me. If it gets too bad or unbearable call your OB, you don't want to get dehydrated. Try to get enough rest and stay away from stress, avoid anything that will make your tummy queezy, and try to eat small ammounts often. Those things will help too. Don't worry you should only have about a month of this left b4 you can start enjoying your pregnancy. :)

  12. Feeling sick is normal during pregnancy but I dont think a fever is normal. It could just be that you have a stomach bug or virus etc on top of the morning sickness. I think it would be a good idea to see your doctor just to make sure everything is ok.

And I agree with the ginger treatment...I find ginger beer/ale the best form of ginger. Its good because it makes you burp as well so it gets rid of the bloated feeling sometimes. Ginger beer burns my tongue so I find the lite version is best because it doesnt seem to burn as much

  13. Ginger, It doesn't taste that great, but if you chew ginger, or eat ginger candy it may help. Also sour candy is suppose to help. It helped me a lot. Hope you feel better soon!

  14. Call your OBGYN ASAP!

You need to get an IV of fluids and they will give you meds to help you.

  15. Although having morning sickness is very normal and common to have it through out the day, it shouldn't be accompanied with a fever, that could be a sign of infection. I would go ahead and call the doc in the morning and he can give you something to help with the morning sickness. Make sure you drink lots of fluid, since you cant handle eating anything.

  16. I know it sounds crazy, but besides the medication Zofran, the only thing that curbed my morning sickness was Sour Patch Kids. I kept the large zip-tip bag of them in my purse.

They really helped keep my morning sickness at bay. Not sure why.

    Good luck and congrats!
