I live in northern california, and my question is: can I switch schools to a different district than the one im suppose to be in?

I've heard there are senior privileges for making that possible. But I want to know more about it, since id prefer to finish my last year at another school.

Transportation won't be a problem at all, so no worries.

Please let me know what I can do.

  1. just give them a different address

  2. It depends on the school.  When I was in high school, they had a rule if you moved like between your junior and senior years, or if you moved senior year, you could stay for the rest of the year, but it varies school to school of course.  I'd have a parent call the school and find out.

  3. I think it varies based on your district.  At least in my area (Virginia) you can go to school in a different city, but you have to pay or have a waiver of some sort.  The best way to find out is to talk to the school board.

  4. You'll need to ask the school - the one you want to attend.  I'm not sure if it's allowed or not, but I can tell you there are no "senior privileges" regarding this.
