  1. You do not need a hotel. The 2 days are the time you take in total for the flying and stopovers. The stopovers are usually a few hours maximum so you can hang around the airport transit area. If you need to sleep at the airport, you can just do so at the benches.

3 stops mean you need to stop over at airports 3 times. You may or may not need to switch planes; it can be that your plane stops for refueling and takes off again, or you get off the plane and catch another flight. This is all written in your flight itinerary given to you when you bought your plane tickets.

  2. Just find a bench, man.  That's what everyone does.  Yeah, three stops means you'll be hitting three different airports along the way.

Lots of people hang out at the airports.  I used to have to travel a lot, too.  I hated it, just cuz you had to be around all the sick, fat American businessmen at the airport for hours and hours.  Hah.

  3. Look at  your itinerary (list of flights).

It will show what the anticipated times between flights are.

Typically it is between 1 and 4 hours, and you would

normally stay at the airport for all that time.

It takes some time to go from the arrival gate to the

new departure gate, which can be fairly long in a

    big airport.
