Im about to start at Union Pacific does anyone know How much you get paid for training? Or if you do?

  1. You will get paid for training, you will get paid what ever a basic day is under your union agreement for first year brakeman/switchman/conductors.  A union rep will come visit you during class (not during class time, against company policy), but maybe at lunch or something, ask him  exactly what the basic day pay is.  


  2. You do get paid for training. I'm not sure about UP, but CSX and NS are somewhere around $400-$500 per week during training. Once you get out of training, then you start out at 75% of the contracted wages. And you increase 5% each year for 5 years until you max out at 100% wages.

  3. they should be paying you for it.
