Im afraid of roller coasters!! help me please please!!?

well im goin 2 cedar point tomorrow with my friends and family! . But, I don't like roller coasters. Im afraid that they might break, or my seat belt might come off or something. I always think about that! im not afraid of heights or nuthin just that little thing!!!! i really always think about that! please help me!!

Cedar point has that tallest wooden rollercoaster or something, right? Well.....don't start with that. Start on those littler ones  that don't look quite as intimidating...and if you can, work your way up.

first of all, roller coasters at cedar point never have seatbelts come off.  at times, a roller coaster might break, but nobody is hurt and the ride returns to normal, and most likely u won't even be in the middle of the ride.  cedar point is completely safe and the employees always check ur lapbars/ shoulder harnesses and seatbelts.  if u try to go on a rollercoaster, don't think about the fact that something bad will happen, because nothing will.  just try to have fun.

Well if you're really that afraid, I would just not go. If you really want to lose this fear, close your eyes when you go on, don't imagine anything, listen to music, (most of the rides don't let dangling items though) It's going to be ok! Don't worry.

Cedar Point is the Coaster Capital of the WORLD. You can't avoid them there!

I suggest to go on a little one first. The one I got my kids to try and enjoy first was the Iron Dragon. It is really smooth and great fun. You'll feel like you're flying! The more rides you go on the braver you'll get and then the next thing you know.....you'll WANT to go on the Millenium Force!!!! OH YEAH BABY!!!!!! Now that is a great ride!

Just do it! Those roller coasters are safer than the drive in on the Ohio Turnpike! They are very very safe, the park is run by a huge corporation and they take every effort to make them safe to avoid law suits.

I used to think the same thing will happen too, but do you know how much of a chance something like that will happen. Probably 1,000,000 to  1. I go on coasters all the time. But if this does not help and your still afraid then just don't go on them.

In May I went on a school feild trip to Islands of Adventures. All the rollercoasters - well most- are twisty and go upside down. And at that point. I was terrified of them. I took a chance and I got over my fear. You cant even feel them going upside down and stufff. And if you need to close your eyes...do it. Theres nothing wrong with doing something that makes you feel safe. It is not a high chance you will get "syuck" on the ride. So dont worry about it. Its the least of your worries. And the seat belt - they have people check the ride every few hours or hour to make sure it is safe to ride. And these rides were built to protect you from falling out.

And heres a tip. If you eat before you go on. Eat a small ice cream cone or cup. It holds down the food from any accidents. Or to be extra safe dont eat before you go on them. =D

You could close your eyes while on the coaster. And there's a lot of other people riding and I'm sure nothing bad has happened to them. It's going to be fine. You gotta face your fears. I know roller coasters can be scary cause you never know what will happen. I'm a little scared too but I just go on and I actually had a good fun time on the roller coasters. Good luck.

i had this fear last year going on to a roller coaster and its really easy to get over just pick the first roller coaster you see and tell evry1 to get on with you then get on in a car with the people u r closest with at first close your eyes then when ur in about the middle open and start screaming with ur hands in the air like evry1 else

WELL first off the seat belts are very secure and after you get on one roller coaster it is not as scary any more and you can get on more and bigger coasters

start off on some easy rides you know you can do then gradually get higher

make sure you do everyone one with your friends

things are a lot easier if you have your friends to do them with you

and about the safety, the statistical probability of you getting hurt is so low that it's not even worth the effort to think about
