Working visa is not something that can be rushed. There is a numerical limit on those being issued per year. She can inquire from the hospital that she applied as to the status of their request. You cannot do it. Only she can.

It could be a matter of a communication gap.  Nevertheless, your wife needs to sort out her application with the embassy in question - you are not entitled to do so without written permission from her that you are her legal representative.
